In this weekend’s assigned reading, we are reminded of Jesus’ tendency to call the last, the lost, and the least likely to be about the work of the kingdom in our midst. In Sunday worship, we will dig a little deeper into Matthew, chapter 9, and the many places where healing and Christ’s kingdom is made known.
