St. Andrew’s offers a two year confirmation class beginning in a student’s 7th grade year and culminating in the Rite of Confirmation on Reformation Sunday in the student’s 9th grade year.

Classes are always the first two Mondays of the month from October thru May. They begin at 6:30pm with dinner and run until 8:15pm.

Our program operates on an A/B schedule:

Year A we study the Lord’s Prayer and the Ten Commandments

Year B we study the Lutheran Reformation, the Apostle’s Creed, Lutheran Worship, and the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion

Small group time is built into each class. The students break into groups with adult leaders and talk about what was taught and how it affects their lives as Christians.

[Some white board insights from a student about Judges 15 during the Fifth Commandment lesson.]

Each January we have a retreat for the confirmation class and alumni at Camp Men-O-Lan in Quakertown, PA. This is an opportunity for fellowship, fun, and some snowy hikes with a little spiritual development sprinkled into the weekend.
