Blessing of Animals

Sunday, October 4th 9:30am & 12:30pm

Join us on October 4th for the Blessing of Animals at 9:30am as part of our remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi. We will gather in the outdoor chapel area across parking lot from church upper entrance (weather permitting) Bring your safe and well mannered (relatively speaking!) pets and join us for a very brief liturgy (pets and owners have short attention spans!) beginning at 9:30am (if you are a few minutes late, there is grace for that!) There is plenty of space to spread out if there is a little bit of a wait for individual blessings of pets. This time together may include conversation, prayer, and blessing as well as photo ops. This is also a great opportunity to meet new people in the community and some very special members of their family. – small animals should be in containers / cages and dogs should be leashed. Children without pets are also welcome to bring a stuffed animal or a photo of a departed animal friend. (After the blessing, parents are welcome to take pets home while children will proceed to the St. Andrew’s Hall for more St. Francis / animal activities. Pastor Mueller will be back in the outdoor chapel at 12:30 for a brief more intimate gathering for those unable to join us at 9:30 or have pets (or people) who get nervous around crowds.

Family Hayride at Yeager’s Farm

Sunday, October 11^th at 5pm

Please join us next Sunday, October 11^th at 5pm at Yeager’s Farm in Phoenixville for a hayride, pumpkin picking, corn maze, and fellowship time roasting hot dogs and s’mores!  Price is $15 per person and includes everything. Anyone who can climb into a hay wagon is welcome.  Please RSVP by Thursday, October 8^th so we can get numbers to Yeager’s!  Hope you can join us!

Leaving a Thriving Legacy

Thursday, October 22nd 1pm & 6pm

You are invited to attend Leaving a Thriving Legacy, on October 22^nd, a presentation designed to help individuals and families think through important decisions about retirement, estate planning, long-term care, and the legacy they hope to leave for loved ones and the causes they care about. This event will offer practical guidance for preparing for life’s “what-ifs,” communicating wishes clearly, and gaining confidence about the steps families can take today for greater peace of mind tomorrow two sessions will be offered, 1:00pm and 6:00pm, each followed by a light meal. You can sign up in the narthex or call the church office. Please bring canned and non-perishable food to donate to a local food pantry.

St. Andrew’s Fall Repair Café

Saturday, October 24th  9:00am  ~  Noon

St. Andrew’s volunteers will be on hand to help you and our community neighbors  with common day-to-day repairs.  Bring your broken items from home…small appliances, lamps, furniture, toys, clothing that needs sewing repairs, knives and scissors that need sharpening.  While we can’t guarantee a fix, we’ll do our best. And our food café will be open while you wait.
