Then the father said to him, “Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.”
As we gather this weekend to hear the familiar Parable of the Prodigal Son (or Loving Father), each of us might hear this parable differently. Depending upon our present life circumstances, we may see ourselves as the loving father, the prodigal son, or the older brother. No matter where you see yourself in this story, may you also be able to see God’s grace in your life.
This weekend we give thanks for a God who is far more patient and forgiving than any of us will ever be.
