Then Peter came and said to him, “Lord, if another member of the church sins against me, how often should I forgive? As many as seven times?” Jesus said to him, “Not seven times, but, I tell you, seventy-seven times.” – Matthew 18:21-22
In this weekend’s readings from Romans and Matthew, we are called to be a people who exercise restraint in judgment and generosity in grace and forgiveness. We gather in worship fully knowing how hard this can be and seek Christ’s wisdom and discernment in our daily lives.
