Position Overview
We are seeking compassionate and experienced Teachers to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with preschool-aged children. This role is essential in preparing children for future learning while ensuring a safe, engaging, and stimulating classroom environment where children are encouraged to explore and succeed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for preschool-aged children in alignment with school themes and the PA Learning Standards for Early Childhood
  • Establish a safe, nurturing, and creative classroom environment that supports exploration and growth
  • Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
  • Assess children’s developmental progress and maintain ongoing communication with parents through conferences and written reports
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning experience
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and structured classroom environment conducive to learning
  • Foster an inclusive and positive atmosphere aligned with the mission and values of St. Andrew’s Nursery School
  • Participate in professional development and continuing education opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, NAEYC standards, and Nursery School policies

Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years of experience working with preschool-aged children in a licensed childcare or educational setting
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in Early Childhood Education and/or Elementary Education, or Private Academic Certification for Nursery School/Kindergarten
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to pass required background checks and meet PA Department of Education requirements
