The Outreach Committee in partnership with the Girl Scouts is sponsoring a book drive to benefit Orion Communities, a non-profit organization that offers services and resources to individuals and families experiencing hardships due to poverty, disability or illness. One of their initiatives is placing books in the hands of young people and in their homes. We are collecting new and gently used books through October 15th. Prioritized age groups are: 1) Birth to 9th grade; 2) Older youth (young adults & high school) 3) Adults. Books for all ages that reflect the cultural and ethnic diversity of the population served would also be appreciated (Spanish, Chinese, Ukrainian, Albanian, Hindi, Russian). There will be a bin in the narthex for your donations. Thank you for your support.
