“Spirit, Spirit of gentleness, blow through the wilderness calling and free; Spirit, Spirit of restlessness, stir me from placidness, wind, wind on the sea.” – James K. Manley

This Sunday we celebrate the Festival of Pentecost, the coming of the Holy Spirit, and the commencement of the Church’s mission in the world. Click below for more background on this major but sometimes forgotten festival of the church, what it says about the Holy Spirit, and what it suggests about our life together. This Sunday in worship, we will look more closely at what the Day of Pentecost and the coming of the Holy Spirit have to say about the ways we see Christ’s presence in our faith and daily life.
As it is Memorial Day weekend, we will also sing a couple of patriotic songs and give thanks for those who paid the ultimate price for our freedom as a nation. If you are traveling this weekend, this video is especially for you. Safe travels and see you in church soon!
